Every bowl at Master Lanzhou starts as a lump of dough, pulled fresh on Princess Street. These four steps are the traditional Lanzhou method, shown here so you can read the bowl. Details follow the kitchen's practice.

The dough sits and relaxes. The chew is earned by waiting, and the waiting cannot be rushed.

A new shop, an old craft
Lanzhou beef noodle soup is a craft from China's northwest: noodles pulled on the spot, a broth kept deliberately clear, and a bowl where broth, beef, radish, chilli oil and fresh herbs each hold their place. Master Lanzhou Noodle brings that craft to Kingston, with noodles made fresh daily.
The shop opened in 2025 on Princess Street in downtown Kingston, and was featured among the year's new arrivals by the downtown business association. It sits a short walk from the Queen's campus. When a hot bowl of noodles is what you miss, the door is on the main street.
